A religion where spells are acceptable, the earth is celebrated and nature is a basic mold of great concepts, paganism. The word “pagan” comes from the Latin term paganus which means dweller of the countryside. At one time, anyone who was not an active Christian was considered a pagan. Pagan followers have a different outlook on life, as they believe in the natural forces of the earth and consciously try to live with them. Another example of how unique this religion is is the fact that pagans are polytheistic, but have one main god who rules over the others, which contradicts the fact that a pagan can also not believe in any god. An interesting concept about this religion is that it is not explained to you in a certain way, but you decipher it yourself and believe what you think is true. For example, most pagans do not believe in a Christian God, but are not against him or try to convince others to be against him. Rather, the pagan idea of a Christian god is that if this is the God who makes you happy, he is happy with it for you. There are some basic concepts of Pagan religion that really help illustrate it for the uninformed. Pagans respect nature and live in harmony with it. In fact, it is a religion based on nature. Additionally, there are goddesses as well as gods and they symbolize aspects of nature and are inside people and immanent in people. I am sure you have heard of the term "Mother Nature", because nature is considered feminine, mother nature in pagan religion is considered the mother of everyone and plants and creatures are in turn our brothers and sisters. Pagan religion is based on respect for nature, they believe in the natural forces of the world. and live according to them, the wheel of the year contributes to this. many people are unaware of how many traditions they celebrate that originated from pagan celebrations. Symbolism is abundant in pagan culture, most commonly seen is the ankh and the pentacle.
