Dali's well-known surrealist artworks appeared in the late 1920s and are emblematic of this period. Dora Ades said of Dali's works: "Surrealism advocates the idea that ordinary, figurative expressions are vital and important, but that the meaning of their arrangement must be open to the full range of imagination. » (Ades, D. 2001 p. 35) Andreev's artworks are a contemporary version of surrealism and are contrasting, bright and energetic.
