Essay / Humanity and conflict in differences by David Walker?
In his appeal, Walker calls on all people of color to oppose slavery. It unifies these people, affirming that as humanity we are one. Walker asks all Americans: “Is he not their Master as well as ours? What right then has to obey and call another Master than Himself? (Walker). With this statement, Walker attempts to not only bring together the colored people of America, but also their white masters. It suggests that in our faith we all have a common way and that we all have a common purpose to do the will of God through servitude for Jesus Christ. “The Call of David Walker” contains a powerful message that calls all Americans to unite in our faith and with each other in working for one community
