Initially, it is intended to remind the reader of the youth, and perhaps naivety, of the group of young boys - that their perverse sense of justice and their ideal of “objectivity” is only a product of their childishness. But conversely, when we examine the question of the Leader in more detail, the meaning completely changes. Three words, no extra jokes, no unnecessary language, only what is necessary to trick the victim into drinking the poison that will kill them. This is the essence of objectivity. The leader says nothing unless it is necessary for his cause, which suggests that these boys, rejected as simple children by all the adults around them, possess more cunning and intelligence than the rest of the others.
