Conclusion After doing my research I saw that most of the people who were praised didn't put in that much effort and even though it was the same test with the same information they thought they already knew the information even if they had forgotten it. And those who were criticized tried harder, even though they knew they should spend less time playing or being with friends. The people being criticized were trying to prove to the teachers that they were wrong and that they could do better. My hypothesis was correct: when you are criticized, you try to work harder. In this experiment, it could have happened that the people being criticized gave up and the people being praised thought they should continue. If, for example, a person being criticized was friends with someone in the controlled group, they could have told them what happened and they both wouldn't have tried and we wouldn't have known what would happen if we said almost nothing.
