  • Essay / Decline of biblical Christianity and rise of "modern"...

Christianity quickly began to lose its true meaning over the years. It’s when people use words like love, morality, and common sense – they just don’t mean the same thing as they did all those years ago. However, Christianity, contrary to the words previously stated, has been modernized in such a way that we have deceptively modified things such as "The Ten Commandments" to foolishly fit our desired lifestyles. We have begun a modernization of Christianity that I like to call 21st century Christianity. Christianity itself was the most complex simple part of life that many ever had to "endure", until the late 1900s, when "simplicity" became the American norm for most. First there was transportation with the discovery and advancement of cars, and then television, which made just about everything, from news to cartoons, more accessible and accessible. The Internet, home and business security, the job market, and so many other aspects of our lives that weren't necessarily absolutely necessary but were more than willing to be accepted and made life better; until it came to how the Bible and Christianity joined the club. Morality and discipline, respect and trust, responsibility and patience. All of this and more has been brought to us and taught through the teachings of God, the Disciples and Jesus as well as many others without whom we would be screwed. Imagine our society today; multiply it by an infinite quantity, and bingo bango! No rules or regulations, therefore, create complete and deeper chaos. People, especially in the United States, have moved from viewing the Bible as "the absolute, unchanging word of God" to "a collection of guidelines, allegories, myths, and stories." useful for living well. Offensive versus should be ignored...... middle of paper ... it's good, it's difficult to achieve in a certain standard. The hardest thing to achieve in this world is satisfaction through anything, even through a true Christian lifestyle where one lives the Gospel in everything one does, from eating to eating. church, until the day of his death. The only difference between the two is how they were raised. Yes, it really is that simple! Like anything else, to truly understand and accomplish something to its full potential, you must first get back to basics, no matter how “advanced” you are in terms of age and ways of doing things. It all comes down to laying the foundations and building from there. Because just like a house, you need to have a proper foundation for it to stand on!
