  • Essay / The Holocaust Controversy - 1056

The Holocaust is an event that will forever live in infamy in the minds and hearts of all who know its history and the suffering endured by the victims. The victims of primarily Jewish origin were persecuted by the Nazi regime due to their anti-Semitic views which led to the largest and most famous genocide in human history. The story of the Holocaust spread around the world until, over time, some facts were mixed up or misinterpreted. These misinterpretations gave anti-Semites and neo-Nazis what they needed to stir up controversy on the subject and deflect responsibility from the Nazi regime. These ideals are false, but have led to debates about what is right and wrong on the subject and people who lie need to be proven wrong. The first denialist account spoke of a specialist in the design and manufacture of execution weapons and denunciation. gas chambers themselves. This man was Fred A. Leuchter, who in 1988 took samples from the walls of the Birkenau and Lublin gas chambers at Auschwitz. In his purported findings, he apparently did not find as much cyanide residue as there should have been on the walls. After this test, the Polish government, in 1991, also tried the test and reportedly found the same thing as Fred. Denialists go on to say that the gas chambers themselves were not designed for use as gas chambers. They say the rooms did not have windows or doors fit for their purpose and the buildings had little to no ventilation when they were built. They tried to say, "There is no equipment to evacuate the air-gas mixture from these buildings." Nothing was done to introduce or distribute the gas into the rooms. ...... middle of paper ...... with the evidence and their argument proven false, there are still Holocaust deniers today and they persist in denying the truth. This leads to the truth of their argument and the many other deniers who may need to put a stop to it. April 10, 2014. Weber, Mark. “Is the Holocaust a hoax?” Bible Believers, March 11, 2012. Web.
