Same-sex marriage is not acceptableOn June 26, 2015, the United States Supreme Court concluded that marriage is a right protected by the American Constitution in all 50 states. Before their decision, same-sex marriage was legal in 37 states, including Washington DC. Same-sex marriage goes against what the Bible says. I think homosexuality is unnatural and immoral. Gay marriage is incompatible with the beliefs of many Christians. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. It is not about the union of two women or two men and I do not believe that our society or the American government is redefining the true meaning of marriage. I am against same-sex marriage for several reasons. Same-sex marriages are unacceptable in my opinion because they go against the words of God. The word of God is the truth and no one can change it. Allowing same-sex marriage also puts churches in danger, because if pastors allow same-sex marriage, it also causes them to go against the word of God. Homosexuality is a sin and it is unacceptable to impose same-sex marriage on people who do not believe in it. It is also an unnatural act because God created Adam and Eve, not Eve and Eve, nor Adam and Steve. Same-sex marriage can also confuse young children. Children should have a male father and a female mother in their lives. Gay marriage will soon begin to decrease the world's population because same-sex couples cannot reproduce, which will reduce the growth of humans and weaken the institution of marriage. For example, if people see that same-sex marriage is acceptable, they will think that any type of marriage is acceptable and appropriate, which is not the case. There will be marriages between humans and... middle of paper... everyone accepts it. Homosexuals believe that no sin is greater than the other and that people who oppose same-sex marriage sin by judging them. The Bible says, “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” Only God can judge and he has the last word. God loves everyone the same and they feel like if God can still love them, why can't we. Therefore, homosexuals who wish to marry simply want the same rights and treatment as heterosexuals. The legalization of same-sex marriage has caused many problems in today's society. The US Constitution causes some people to go against their religious beliefs because of this law. Personally, I don't think people should be forced to go against their religion to support something that would not please God. There are enough things happening in this horrible world and unimportant things like this should not be added to society's problems..
