    Theodore (“Teddy” or TR) Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in New York, New York. Teddy was the second born of four children in his family. As a child, I wouldn't say he was healthier. He suffered from asthma and poor eyesight, which explains his glasses, throughout his childhood. Since he was sick all the time he didn't go to school, he was homeschooled. His mother and sometimes his aunt were his teacher. His family traveled throughout Europe, while they were in Europe Teddy attended Harvard College in Germany. There he met, fell "in love" and married Alice Hathaway Lee on October 22, 1880. Teddy returned to New York where he became a Republican representative in the New York State Assembly for three terms (1882-18840. In 1884, Teddy's wife, Alice, had their daughter, Alice Hathaway Roosevelt Jr. Two days later, his mother died of typhoid fever, and a few hours later his wife died of typhoid fever. a form of stomach cancer After the death of his mother and wife, Teddy became depressed and threw himself into his political work. Teddy was so stressed that he could not raise his own daughter. so he gave it to his sister while he moved west to the frontiers. He lived there for a few years, raising cattle and being alone. When he returned, he married his love. childhood, Edith Kermit Carow They married and had five boys. In 1900, Teddy became vice president under William McKinley. In 1901, William McKinley was murdered and injured. To save the president, on September 14, 1901, Theodore Roosevelt was appointed president and Charles W. Fairbanks served as his vice president. After his death, his wife, Edith, traveled the world and spent much of her time with his children, and eventually his grandchildren. She died at the age of 87 and was buried near Sagamore Hill, near her husband. Theodore Roosevelt was a great person and leader of our country. He took over when our country lost its president. Even despite his loss and his depression, Teddy coped perfectly well. He always kept his head high and kept it higher. It has a good influence on today's society. He made all the right choices. Everyone loved Teddy. He built the Panama Canal. He has done his best to make our country a better place to live than it already is. I'm glad I was able to complete my project on Theodore Roosevelt.
