    Ethics is so important in business because it gives credibility to a company. When a company is credible, consumers trust it and will tend to buy from it more regularly. Employees become loyal and are motivated to move the company forward. According to Schermerhorn (2004), “an individual who feels safe in a work environment can focus more on the purpose of an organization.” Creditors and investors show their commitment and confidence in financing business development and consumer confidence is positive. Ethical business practices establish the fundamental principles of trust with colleagues, competitors, staff, customers and any other person or entity. The result of unethical practices can be lower profits and loss of market share. However, ethics are culturally specific. “What is considered ethical in one culture may be considered unethical in another (Chiu,
