Social networks, as their name suggests, are networks established and maintained for the purpose of socializing. Nowadays, people in very different places can interact through the Internet and social networking sites. What are the advantages of social networks? What are the challenges facing social networks? This report seeks to describe issues affecting social media, including sex, privacy, security, time wasting, addiction, and health, with the aim of proposing two solutions to these issues. The report begins with an explanation of social media and a brief overview of the benefits of social media. The report identifies and discusses six issues facing social media: sex rights, privacy, security, time wasting, addiction and health. The report recommends that social media should be included in the school curriculum to equip children with safe usage practices before joining social media sites.
