Most humans today do not act as they wish but as they must. We view industrialization as the source of the highest standard of living that we enjoy in our daily modern lives. In fact, this is true, but industrial modernization has a great influence on the way humans live, because of their connection with nature and their interaction with society. A good example of industrialized life is "The Handmaid's Tale", written by Herman Melville, which tells the story of an upper-middle-class man who goes to buy husks for his seed business at a paper factory located in background of the mountains. At first, he understands that the world is not what it seems. He believed that modernization through the development of industry creates a good life for humans, but the reality is different in that these machines create life, too. destroy it. In this essay, I will present how the narrator through the story of “The Maid's Tartar” represents modern culture and the impact of industrial modernization on human life, such as the isolation of humans from the world, separation from nature and industrialization. causes more human diversity, which leads to a division of people into social classes. To begin with, the narrator sees industrialization as a factor that has isolated human beings from the world. It presents a group in society that does nothing but eat, drink and eat. and work in a paper factory. The cleaners who work for this company are removed from the real world and connections with other humans. In this story, the scene seems dark... middle of paper ... cultural shift from ancient culture to modern culture by the effects of the industrial revolution which lost the value of humanity. Modernization has a huge impact on human lives. On the one hand, it has changed our lives by making things easier. On the other hand, it destroys it by isolating people from the world, giving them fewer opportunities to interact with each other and the opportunity to create a new generation. Furthermore, it separates humans from nature by making them live far from nature and damaging their health through pollution and artificial things produced. Additionally, it created diversity among the population by dividing them into classes based on gender and socio-economic status. Thus, this cultural shift from ancient to modern has a huge influence on human life, and it remains to be seen to what extent the industrial revolution over time will influence society..
