    Neglect is not like physical abuse or sexual abuse, it is inadequate and ongoing care. Child neglect is more than any other form of abuse, but it receives less attention from society. Neglect is an act of omission and there are many forms of child neglect; educational neglect and medical negligence are just two of many. Failing to meet a child's basic needs puts them in danger. When a child is neglected, they leave him hungry, dirty, without shelter or clothing, and unsupervised. Neglected children often suffer from other forms of
