Is the American dream still alive? Asked this question of many Americans and depending on each person's experience, you will find varying answers. Some Americans have no idea what to accept anyway and will say it confuses them. Individuals do not have a reasonable answer as to whether the American dream is alive or dead. Isn't this what they fled in their country? There is no opportunity left for them although they are far from their nations and the sound of bombs striking. How can our Muslim friends become residents if it is now difficult to enjoy some of the privileges of foreigners? Today, law enforcement can enter their homes without a warrant or capture and detain them for a long time to ensure their protection. What do they still have faith in? What they thought would be a wonderful new beginning is now at a dead end. Today, even if you are from the Middle East, call it Arab land, job stability is never guaranteed anymore. Companies send Muslim representatives home since they do not have full American citizenship. Shouldn't we free ourselves from segregation? Those who work in sensitive fields like technology and information are excluded. It makes matters worse when you can't resolve the cause of your being sent home. It has become difficult for outsiders to make their way to achieve their dreams. Would you make the effort to reside in a country where the opportunity you came for is discriminatory?
