  • Essay / Importance of Cell Phones in Education - 937

Cell phones are interactive, fun and more comfortable with children, especially high school students. Of course, traditional teaching methods won't be completely abandoned, but as technology advances, children of the future won't want that. Most people think that allowing phones in the classroom means free use, but that's not what teachers and students mean. There will be rules about when using the phone is appropriate and what you can and can't do on it. Cell phones can't be blamed for lower grades because you can ban cell phone use in class, but that still doesn't eliminate the thousands of kids who sit in a classroom and eat , dream or even sleep during teaching hours. If cell phones are a distraction and lead to lower grades, then all distractions need to be looked into because most of them came before the cell phone and still remain there.
