Death a is a black abyss of nothing. Death is greedy. Death will come out of the ground and tear something up to take with it. During the play Romeo and Juliet, several characters play pivotal roles in the events that lead to the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Several of these characters include Romeo, Juliet, Friar Laurence, Friar John, Lord Capulet, and Romeo and Juliet's ancestors who started the feud. In my essay, I will explain how each named character played a role in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Several times during the play, Romeo and Juliet nearly commit suicide, but with the help of Friar Laurence and the Nurse, Romeo and Juliet's deaths were prolonged, but inevitable. Romeo and Juliet must have died at some point. Romeo played a role in his own death. The moment he killed Tybalt, his fate was sealed. He was lucky to have been banished by the prince, because at the beginning of the play the prince said that if there was any more fighting between the Capulets and the Montagues, they would be put to death. Romeo couldn't stand the idea of leaving his brand new wife. He went to a neighboring town and when he heard the news of Juliette's death, he could not bear it. He made a hasty decision to buy poison. Even when he was kissing Juliette and her lips were warm, he was so crazy that he didn't realize she was alive. If Romeo hadn't been so reckless, I believe he and Juliet would have survived. If you really think about it, Romeo actually played a role in Juliet's death. Juliette's actions in the play killed her. There are many ways she could have prevented his death, which would have also saved Romeo. When Romeo was banished, her parents thought she was mourning the loss of her dear cousin...... middle of paper ... shock instead of giving him orders. Finally, if Romeo and Juliet's ancestors had not started fighting in the first place, the two lovers would not have had to hide their feelings, their marriage, and lie to their friends and family. The whole tragedy would have been avoided if Romeo and Juliet's ancestors had gotten along. In conclusion, I believe that not a single person is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet. The people who played the most important role in the death of Romeo and Juliet were Romeo, Juliet, Friar Laurence, Friar John, Lord Capulet, and Romeo and Juliet's ancestors. The two characters who had the greatest influence in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet were themselves. If they had done things differently from the beginning of the play, their deaths would have been avoided. By reading the play Romeo and Juliet you will understand my reasoning.
