Essay / Our Children's Future - 740
Drug addiction is one of the worst diseases occurring all over the world. They come in different forms and attack different age groups. Our society is aware of the many drug addictions people face; However, when we think of addiction, the pun slips before us. Our society is accustomed to drug-related addictions, which are popularized by today's society. Many of our young children and adolescents are drawn into video game addiction. This is thanks to the time they spend in video games. Video game addiction has increased among our young people. Their physical and mental health is affected. As much as I enjoy playing video games for several hours, I also think there should be limits and restrictions on the amount of time people spend playing video games to help stop this growing epidemic. Many children play a large amount of video games, causing them to lose sleep. and many other activities. For a moment, in the article “Children and Video Game Addiction” by Tammy Darling, provides parents with warning signs of video game addiction. For example: “fantasizing or talking excessively about game characters or missions when not playing, lying or hiding about time spent playing, losing interest in sports and hobbies, choosing games over time with friends and dropping grades.” In other words, children devote their lives to video games. In fact, 8.5% of players aged 8 to 18 can be considered pathologically dependent. As a result, we should create restrictions on how long they should be allowed to play continuously. In my opinion, adding restrictions on video games can be easily done. Now, within a few days, video game developers will be able to create software in the middle of paper...... we don't see the problem of this kind of dependence, we will get used to it and this dependence will be taken lightly. Limits and restrictions on time spent playing video games must be enforced urgently to prevent long-term harm to our children. The effect that video game addiction can have can be very dangerous for our young people. Mark Griffiths shows that in some countries like China they have applied restrictions to reduce the possibilities of video game addiction. Conversely, I know it can be a lot of work, but in my opinion, parents should be able to schedule video games for their children when they are away from home to reduce the amount of time spent on video games. Video games these days are highly entertaining and somewhat educational, but they are more addictive than ever. We should learn more and understand how this fun game can hurt our children..
