There are flood stories from many cultures. Flood stories usually consist of a higher power flooding a civilization due to an act that angered the higher power. The stories are about a specific family and how the flood ravages the entire planet. So many cultures have a story about a great flood that has many similar details that it's hard not to believe it's not true, but whether the story of a great flood is true or not, it's is up to the individual to decide. Judaism is a religion to which many Hebrews belong. Many Christian religions like Catholicism also believe the same story as the Jews about the great flood. They believe that God was so angry at humanity's evil ways that he wanted to destroy them. He did this with a great flood that consumed the earth except for Noah, his family, and the animals he saved. The story uses many religious pieces, such as the dove, which represents the Holy Spirit. There are many objects and pieces like statues, trinkets, paintings, and items that feature symbols or representations of Noah and the ark he built. This flood story is one of the most commonly told versions of the great flood. When God decided to flood the earth, he saved a righteous man and his family. The righteous man deserving of life was Noah. He discovered that Noah was a good man and believed that he needed to be saved. God commanded Noah to build an ark 450 feet by 75 feet by 45 feet, with three bridges. Noah did as he was told. He and his family boarded the ark. It was eight people. They gathered pairs of many animals together, so that they could reproduce after the flood was over. For forty days and forty nights the flood raged.
