However, an employer looking to hire a teacher will consider communication, organization, business and learning as the main skill to master. “Communication is crucial at all levels of employment. Employers surveyed stated that they believed that communication skills contributed to a harmonious workplace and better customer relations (McLeish, 2002), because client teachers are the students' parents. Effective teaching would not be possible without communication, because teachers are constantly imparting new knowledge, or passing on information", the definition of the word communication in the Concise Oxford Dictionaries is "the act of transmitting, especially news", or “the science and practice of transmitting information” (Prozesky, 2000). Feedback is an important part of communication and essential to teaching, Being able to provide useful feedback can have a huge effect on a student's learning and development and help alleviate any misunderstandings about what is expected . Feedback has been shown to be one of the most important activities a teacher can engage in to improve student outcomes. (Hattie, 1992). (Tjeerdsma B, 1997) gives an apt example of why good communication and feedback skills are so important for teaching and how misuse can affect student learning. Communication is the cornerstone of a functioning classroom and strong relationships. Most employability skills require good use of communication as it involves some level of human interaction, for example teamwork without communication would be completely ineffective. To progress or make progress in anything requires learning skills. It is not possible to keep up with the changing technological world without strong learning skills.
