Izabela Szczepanska“How long should I live? » This is probably one of the first thoughts that comes to mind for many cancer patients when they receive a diagnosis. Cancer is a disease that affects people all over the world. Today, in the United States alone, one in two men and one in three women will face cancer in their lifetime. There are hundreds of types and stages, with many treatment methods available.(footnote) It is difficult to keep up with all current treatments, even for a single type of cancer. However, if we want to beat cancer, we must treat it correctly and thoroughly. There are often no second chances. Progress is being made at a staggering pace in the search for more effective treatments, but people still believe that one day there will be a cure for all types of cancer.
